Tip 1: Cushions
Nothing says lush and style in a bedroom more than a bed full of cushions.
Cushions add layers, texture and colour to the space.
“Mixing your cushions up in terms of texture, style, shape and colour will give potential buyers a sense of luxury and overall, will create a beautiful bedroom,” says Kendall.
Tip 2: White bed linen
White bed linen is a simple base to begin with when styling your bedroom.
Using a patterned or coloured bed linen will make it hard for you to style the rest of the space.
“We always style bedrooms with white linen as it always looks crisp and clean and will work in with any wall colours throughout the home,” says Kendall.
Tip 3: Colour Scheme
The colour scheme you choose to go with in your bedroom will make or break the overall look.
Ensuring the colours you choose match the wall colours, lighting fixtures and the rest of the homes style, is important to make the room look complete.
Kendall suggests using colours that compliment each other.
“The colour scheme needs to tie in with the whole room. The colour of the cushions should complement the artwork, the throw rug and the lamp shades.”
Tip 4: Placement
Placement is a very important tip. The styling should look symmetrical as this will be easy on the eye and create a beautiful bedroom.
Placing the bed in the middle of the room where possible is a great start to achieving this.
Kendall says they like to imagine layers when styling a bedroom.
“You start with the white linen, add the cushions and then layer it back to the lampshades and artwork or the bed head. We then like to top it off with a gorgeous throw.”
