Our homegrown designers are well and truly out-doing fast fashion and are strong competitors in the international industry.
Emporium’s most recent retailer, V&M, is a store dedicated to showcasing the creations of up-and-coming designers from Australia and New Zealand.
Three months ago,well known Brisbane business owner Margot McKinney came up with the concept to support young designers by stocking their designs in a prominent shopping precinct on a consignment basis.
V&M now stocks 12 unique and quirky local labels.
Verlene Court, the manager of V&M, showed us a few of her favourite pieces and shared what she loves about the store.
