Place's Days of Summer Auction Event

JANUARY 28–31

What is Place's Days of Summer?

Make summer your selling moment

Every January, Brisbane's property market returns from the holidays with fresh energy, and Place's Days of Summer is built to capture that moment and put your property at the centre of it.

This market-leading event kicks off on Thursday 28 January with an in-rooms auction session at Place HQ, followed by three days of on-site auctions across Greater Brisbane from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 January.

Buyers are back

Holidays over, buyers return to the market ready to act.

More searches

Portal searches spike in January, so more eyes land on your home.

Built-in momentum

Launch before Christmas. Peak on auction day.

Why auction in any market?

Different market. Same process. Different benefit.

An auction campaign has a set process and timeline that doesn't change when the market does. What changes is how it works in your favour.

In a seller's market

Maximise competition

Buyers worry about missing out and move quickly, which tempts owners to take the first offer. Auction gives competition time to build, so you don't undersell.

In a buyer's market

Minimise time on market

Private treaty campaigns can drift for weeks. Auction sets a firm date, creates urgency and gives buyers a defined moment to commit.

How long does it take to sell right now?

Median days on market, Greater Brisbane, September 2026.

Private treaty 55 days

More than double from this time last year.

Auction 37 days

Only 7 days more than this time last year.

That’s the power of a defined timeline.

When conditions get tougher, private treaty can keep stretching. Auction acts as a circuit breaker: it protects your time, creates urgency and gives the market a moment to compete.
