John Pupavac from BPI Building and Pest Inspections Brisbane South has been a building and pest inspector for over 13 years and says in that time, he’s seen a lot of good and bad situations.
He says it’s a very important process to go through because it’ll tell you about the structure, the materials and if there’s any unwanted houseguests who might be hiding behind the walls or beneath the floorboards.
While it may seem like a lot of money to fork out, particularly if the report comes back A-OK, it’s definitely good for the peace of mind to ensure you’re not going to have thousands of dollars on structural repairs.
We chat to John about what happens during a building and pest - he gives us the lowdown on what they check for.
