Return of Mass Auction Event Reigniting Brisbane's Property Market

Place Estate Agents are proud to report on the success of THE DAY, which occurred on October 28 & 29 2023. The unique Auction event has once again delivered an impressive clearance rate which can be put down to many factors that the Place Auction experience delivers.

 

Sunny skies brought hundreds of bidders and spectators out to suburbs right across Brisbane to witness 80+ properties go to Auction and here were the results…

  • 71% clearance rate
  • Average of 3 bidders per property

“It’s been amazing. The volume of people with general interest over the course of the weekend has been huge,” said Chief Auctioneer, Peter Burgin.

With more and more people choosing Auction as their preferred selling method, street and suburb records were made across the city and reserve prices exceeded.

Amongst outstanding results, THE DAY brought unique occurrences such as three properties of McDonald Street, Hawthorne, lined up to be auctioned off on the same day and an in-room Auction session where 10 properties went under the hammer back-to-back.

Place Auctioneer, Sam Kelso said that the popularity of an event like this is the result of a combination of a lack of stock in the market, high demand, and an array of great property on offer through THE DAY. “There’s been a lot of interest and the flight to quality is still very real,” he said.

 

The impact of this day is a valuable opportunity for both sellers and clients and as Peter Burgin states, ‘The results speak for themselves’.

“One of the huge benefits of the day, is that not only do we put on a higher volume of auctions, but we really get behind it with PR, incredible marketing, and amazing social media.”
