Is there anything better than food and wine?

Short answer: No.

It’s that time of year again! From jams to rides, raffles to performances, the Sherwood State School Fete is back.

This year it’s bigger and better than ever with a raffle where the first prize is a car!

It’s always a wonderful day for the whole family even if your kids don’t attend Sherwood State School.

Eliza’s Place Mother’s Day High Tea

When: 13 May, 10am - 12pm

If you’ve never stopped by Eliza’s Place in Corinda, now is your chance to treat mum to something very special.

Make sure you book early though - it’s a not so well-kept secret!

Basket Crochet Class

When: 13 May, 10am - 2pm

Where: 225 Verney Road East, Graceville

Have you ever had any old fabric lying around without a project in mind?

To find that inspiration, book yourself in for the Basket Crochet Class at Milly’s Haberdashery in Graceville.

Plastic bags may have been convenient at one time or another, but baskets are FAR better for the environment and they’re an even better way to carry your groceries!

Baskets are also a fantastic way to store items in your home, and since plastic bags are going out the window come July - baskets are a great way to go.

All materials are supplied but you’re welcome to bring your own material if you have a favourite.

You can book here.

Cacao & Coconut Radiance Pamper Class

When: 19 May, 7pm - 8:30pm

Where: 46 Shottery Street, Yeronga

Lip and body scrubs, face masks and foot spas.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make your own products at home, then this is the class for you!

This class is perfect to meet new people, learn new skills and get some relaxation into your day with some calming facial massages.
