Place Auction Patrol: Fuelled by our local community

Thursday October 7, 2021 ● By Grace Holgate // Place Estate Agents

Ambassadors of the auction method since we opened our doors in 2002, Place Estate Agents are driven by helping people find their happy Place through our ‘one of a kind’ auction experience.

Skilfully led by our three Master Auctioneers, Peter Burgin, Paul Curtain and Mark Frater, the Place Auction Patrol are an integral part of how we continue to set the benchmark for auctions across Brisbane.

Creating value to everyone in attendance, the Place Auction Patrol are a team of real estate professionals that play a key role in creating the perfect auction atmosphere. From providing quality advice to every attendee, offering an onsite mortgage broker to the incredible coffee cart and snack stations, the ‘Auction Army’ are dedicated to making auctions an enjoyable experience for all.

From the 21-24 October, Place will be holding the biggest ever auction weekend, which will admirably include over 50 auctions.

Every auction conducted over the weekend will have the support of the Place Auction Patrol, The Courier Mail, Motorline Mini, Professional Media and Superior Fruit Graceville, as well as live streaming to ensure that we can reach those that are unable to attend in person.

Striving to stay ahead of the curve, we are consistently searching for innovative ways to make the auction process more relaxed for everyone attending, both in person and online. Place have standardised processes and systems to conduct live streamed auctions via platforms such as Gavl and Facebook Live. Live streaming is a wonderfully simple and user-friendly experience and sellers can feel confident in Place’s ability to create an unparalleled auction experience for all.

At Place, we are determined to provide an unprecedented level of expertise at our auctions to ensure that the auction process is as stress free as possible. The Auction Patrol team take pride in looking after all of the ‘little auction details’ which allows our agents and auctioneers to focus on what they do best, helping people find their happy Place.

Alongside our Action Patrol, our sponsors are a special part of building a true sense of community at every Place auction. Partnering with businesses that share our values allows us to continue to deliver first-class auctions.

We recently spoke with business owner of Superior Fruit Graceville Peter Maniatis who with his team, provide fresh, delicious local produce at our auction’s week after week. Peter, his family and their incredible team have been running their business for over 30 years and take great pride in giving back to the community that supports them.

My definition of shop local’ is to shop as close to home as possible. Shop at your local fruit shop, butcher shop or newsagent. Buy what’s local and ask your local shop where the produce comes from,” Peter said.

“Businesses feed communities and community’s feed businesses, and it’s a beautiful and delicate ecosystem and it’s our responsibility to give back to the community that supports us.”

The support of our local community, the Place Auction Patrol, our Master Auctioneers and the powerful network of buyers and sellers all over the country has allowed us to continue to pave the path for auction excellence in Brisbane.
