Case Study: A home that’s just extremely liveable

Loved by family and referred to by friends as ‘the meeting place for the clan,’ the Posselts have enjoyed their beautiful Indooroopilly home for 45 years.

Helen and John Posselt purchased 75 Goldieslie Road in 1978, where they raised four children, welcomed grandkids and made many memories to last a lifetime.

Now retired and ready for their next chapter, the couple have purchased a beautiful apartment in Tennyson and are excited to see the home reinvent itself with its new family.

“We were sad to say goodbye to the home, but things must move,” Helen said.

“I said to myself, 'we’re 80, what are we doing in a five-bedroom home?'”

The stunning Queenslander offers plenty of space for families and entertainers alike. Set on a prime 870sqm allotment, the home showcases an attractive traditional facade surrounded by lush green gardens.

Green outlook

“It’s just so liveable. It’s so spacious and airy, it's very green and it’s simply lovely,” Helen said.

“The home looks out onto a designated bird park just across the road. It’s very convenient and close to everything you could ever need. There are shops, trains, sports clubs and parks all within walking distance, and yet, it’s still so peaceful and quiet.

“I’m hoping that the new family has as much fun in the home as we did. It’s also such a delightful street. It’s always been very family-oriented and it’s re-establishing itself. Neighbours that moved in at the same time as we did are moving out and new families are moving in. The home is reinventing itself and the new beautiful families are breathing new life into the area.”

“I hope that the new owners love the home as much as we did.”

Living area

Listing Agent for the home, Karen Simons, said that there has been a lot of interest in the home due to the home's liveability and charm.

“People love the romance of a Queenslander! The appeal of living on a large block is always a draw card for young families and people adore the surrounding green spaces and the peace and quiet,” Karen said.

“Enquiry has been significant on the home, we have seen fantastic turnouts at open homes, and have already received some great offers. It seems that buyers are truly genuine and are trying to ascertain where the property sits in the market.”

“The home was very loved. I’m excited to see what we achieve for Helen and John and wish them all the best as they enter the next stage of their life.”

75 Goldieslie Road is currently accepting top offers, closing Saturday 4th of March at 5pm. For more details, get in touch with Karen Simons today.
