Waving their magic wand over homes across Brisbane, Luxe Property Styling is turning houses from ordinary to extraordinary.

The genius creatives behind Luxe Property styling are two fashionable mums, Kirrily Newton and Anka Baric, who have an eye for what makes a home tick – and how to bring in the sale!

Nestled amongst beautiful cushions and throws, we sat with Kirrily and Anka and discussed how styling your home in preparation of selling can make all the difference.

The ladies also provided us with 5 key interior decorating tips for those of us looking to spruce up our forever-homes.

How does Luxe Property Styling work?

When styling someone’s home for the market, we analyse the natural architectural style of the property and how the house can be best presented for sale.

It’s really important to focus on the assets of a home.

All we’re doing is adorning the home in a different way to make it feel homey, stylish and more attractive to the market.

You have such a small portion of time to make an impression on potential buyers and those first impressions can make the difference between selling or not.

We help buyers visualise the potential of a space - it may not necessarily be how they would style it, but it still represents the capabilities of an area.

How can styling make a difference to a sale?

When someone is looking to make a big life investment, they’re looking for an emotional connection.

We had a client recently who sold their home to a lady who fell in love with the house instantly – and that’s a really nice feeling.

It’s important that we understand the potential market of buyers looking at a property and then styling accordingly.

For example, a client of ours had a home filled with beautiful, traditional furniture, but the demographic of property buyers didn’t suit this style.

By making simple changes to the furniture, you can appeal to a different audience - we knew we had nailed the styling when the house sold right away.

Tell us about your interior decorating services?

Our business naturally flows on from styling the home for sale to interior decorating.

Often we will have clients who fall in love with their home all over again once it’s styled and ready for the market - more often than not, we stay on to design their new homes.

When doing an interior design job for a client, we take into account all aspects of their lifestyle.

Their home not only has to reflect their personal style, but also be appropriate for how they live their day to day life.
