Jill Wright-Wotton has built a reputation for being one of the most composed and client-focused agents in the Ascot and Hendra markets. 

 

Known for her preparation, honesty and calm under pressure, Jill is a key part of Place Ascot Principal Patrick McKinnon’s team and a trusted guide for families navigating prestige property decisions.

We sat down with Jill to talk about her journey, what drives her and the mindset she brings to every campaign.

  1. How did your journey with Place Ascot begin and what drew you to this team?
    I joined Place Ascot at a time when I was ready to immerse myself in a high-performing market and refine my skillset in the prestige space. The brand had strong visibility and structure, and I saw it as an opportunity to accelerate my professional development and broaden my experience with complex, high-value campaigns.

  2. How long have you been with Place and why?
    I’ve been with Place for five years, and during that time I’ve had the opportunity to build a strong foundation both in terms of client relationships and market knowledge. The role has allowed me to establish a consistent presence, growing my brand and understanding the type of environment in which I perform at my best.

  3. What’s been your proudest professional moment so far?
    My proudest moments are the ones where I’ve earned genuine trust. Whether it’s guiding a family through a significant transition or achieving an exceptional sale in a competitive market, I value the long-term relationships and ongoing referrals that come from delivering a calm, strategic and reliable experience. 

A memorable moment was being asked to re-sell the very first home I transacted in Hendra, with both occasions setting a new highest sale record for the suburb.

  1. You’ve built a strong reputation in a prestige market - what sets you apart?
    I operate with a strong focus on clarity, preparation and composure. Prestige clients seek stability and strategy, and I pride myself on providing both. My approach is detailed, honest and tailored. 

What sets me apart is my ability to stay steady, communicate well and make data-informed decisions regardless of the external environment. My husband constantly jokes that I'm a savant with my client criteria recall and ability to locate the ideal home for them, but because I take the time to get to know them so well, it really becomes second nature.

  1. What do you love most about working in Hendra?
    Hendra has a unique blend of heritage, community and lifestyle that continues to evolve. I love representing a suburb where families are deeply invested in long-term outcomes. 

Many of my client relationships in Hendra have grown over years, not months, which makes working here feel genuinely meaningful and more than transactional.

  1. What has been your biggest learning or evolution as a leader or agent?
    My biggest evolution has been growing into my own leadership style that is calm, emotionally intelligent and focused on long-term trust. I’ve learned that the right environment can elevate you, but ultimately your consistency, your ethics and your communication are what set you apart. Recognising my strengths and understanding what I need to perform at my highest level has been a key part of my development.

  2. What do your clients say about working with you that makes you proud?
    Clients often describe me as steady, genuine and highly dependable. They tell me they feel supported and informed throughout the entire process, and that I bring a sense of calm to what can be an overwhelming experience. The trust clients place in me and the repeat business that comes from it is what makes me most proud.

  3. What’s your vision for the next few years for yourself?
    Over the next few years, my focus is on aligning myself with the environment that best supports long-term, high-performance growth. I’m committed to strengthening my position in the prestige market, building a team structure that reflects my values, and continuing to refine the client experience. I’m excited to evolve, take on new challenges and position myself for the next stage of my career.

Personally, I feel grateful to have built a career centred on trust, communication and community connection. Professionally, I’m committed to continuous improvement, seeking out environments, leadership and opportunities that support excellence. I’m excited for the next chapter and the momentum building behind it.
