What is Kangaroo Point known for?

The beautiful views! It’s also a very quiet suburb that's just 4km from the Brisbane CBD. 

Fun fact about Kangaroo Point?

It’s the most popular spot in Brisbane to go for a walk, run or cycle due to its scenic views of the Brisbane River and the city. If you haven’t tried to climb the infamous Kangaroo Point stairs, you’re in for a treat!

Favourite Kangaroo Point Café?

Medley Kangaroo Point, the views are unmatched and the food is amazing!

 

Favourite Kangaroo Point Restaurant and go-to dish?

You can’t beat a Steak at The Story Bridge Hotel!

Something only the locals would know?

There’s a community Kangaroo Point Facebook group where all the local share their success stories and what’s going on in the community! It’s a great platform to meet your neighbours and get to know what’s happening in your local suburb.

Best way to get around the suburb?

Walking, getting a ferry or scootering are great ways to navigate your way through Kangaroo Point. Of course, the best way down the cliffs is to abseil!

Local attractions and places to visit?

The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a must and make the beautiful suburb what it is! 

 

Go-to shopping spot?

IGA on the edge of Kangaroo Point and East Brisbane, it’s open until 12am every day!

Interesting facts?  

The Yungaba Immigration Centre, built in 1880’s, is one of the few state heritages listed buildings in Kangaroo Point. This iconic building was bought in 2003 by Frasers Developers and it has since been beautifully restored into 10 units and is now known as The Residences, Yungaba House. It’s a great piece of history.
