The Settlement Advantage: How Place Contracts Helps Agents Do More

Thursday November 5, 2026 ● By Lara Jones // Place Estate Agents

What would you do with the hours you spend chasing contract details? For a lot of agents, the work doesn't end when the sale is secured. It just changes shape: key dates to track, conditions to monitor and solicitors to keep in the loop, all while the next client is waiting.

At Place, it works differently. Our in-house Contracts team takes over once a sale is secured and manages the transaction through to settlement. To find out what that looks like in practice, we sat down with two people who see it every day: Paris Arthur, Lead Agent at Place Indooroopilly, and Jen from our Contracts team.

This is The Place Advantage: powering your property career, with the team behind every Place agent.

Paris Arthur on doing more for his clients

We asked Paris what difference having a dedicated Contracts team at HQ makes to him and his team, and whether that support has helped him scale to the volume of sales he does today.

It comes down to confidence. "Having the confidence of knowing that there is a dedicated team looking after the really important points of a contract is paramount," says Paris, "and it means we can do more for our clients."

Has this helped Paris scale to the level of sales he's able to produce? "Yes, it has helped us be able to scale," he says, "as it gives us time back to focus on what we do day to day."

What's behind it: Place Contracts

To understand what sits behind that confidence, we spoke with Jen from our Contracts team. Once an agent secures a sale, she says, "Our team steps in, managing the transaction all the way to settlement." That covers key dates, trust account management and liaising with solicitors. "We take care of it," says Jen, "so agents stay focused on their clients." Here's how that works:

  • Manage: key dates, trust account management and liaison with solicitors
  • Monitor: proactive checks along the way, so issues are spotted early and commission stays protected
  • Comply: specialist knowledge and a strong compliance focus on every transaction

What sets it apart, says Jen, is that every transaction gets the same specialist attention. The team brings "specialist knowledge and a strong compliance focus to every transaction", and "proactively monitoring key dates and conditions keeps risk low and commission protected, for agents, clients and offices alike".

What it means for you

The result is confidence at every step, and more time for what grows your business. For agents, says Jen, "Time is everything. We handle the admin. That means more time for clients, relationships, prospecting, and their next sale."

What could you build with Contracts behind you?

A dedicated team in your corner from the moment a sale is secured to settlement, so you can do more for your clients. That's The Place Advantage.
