Corinda local Dan McNamara has always been a pretty resourceful teenager.
The 14-year-old, who is better known by Corinda and Oxley residents by his business name Dogwalking by Dan, has been walking the neighbourhood’s pups for about three years.
He says he started by walking his own dog, Bronco, and soon discovered there was a gap in the market and an opportunity for him to earn some money.
“I love getting to know the personalities of all the dogs in the area,” says Dan.
Lucky for this teen, his parents help him behind the scenes with managing and driving.
In fact, he’s a bit of a celebrity in the Oxley 4075 Community Group.
He also walks neighbourhood escape artist, a white and black spotted dog called Lucy, who has also achieved fame in the group for her antics in going on her own trips to explore the local area.
Now, Dan has expanded his offerings into also looking after chickens and has plans to grow his business.
