When the rain was pouring down earlier last week, we can only imagine the organisers of the Graceville State School Fete would’ve been frantically checking weather reports and crossing their fingers for blue skies.
Luckily, the day of the fete dawned bright and beautiful and crowds poured into the school grounds to enjoy sweet treats and wild rides!
For the kids, there were endless things to see and even more to spend their pocket money on!
There was no shortage of things for mum and dad though, with tasty food stands, the beloved beer hall and a charity auction which multiple local businesses donated to to raise thousands of extra dollars for the school!
Scores of parents gave up their time, and we managed to locate and chat with school principal Zoe Smith, who spent her day helping out around the fete and getting dunked by her pupils on the dunking machine!
