As a child, Amanda Galea was a dancer and performer. From doing interesting up-dos for herself and those around her, she discovered her love for hair styling at an early age.
“I just always had a love for doing peoples hair and always knew it was something that I’d love to make a career out of,” says Amanda Galea.
After years of training and experience, Amanda now runs her very own salon, Fafalina’s, in Cannon Hill.
Feeling a bit fed up with our dull, dry hair post winter, we asked Amanda… what should we do with our hair this Spring?!
You’re recognised as the go-to hairdresser in the community, what do you love about the suburb you live in?
What’s not to love about Cannon Hill? We have anything you could possibly need right here.
I’m surrounded by a friendly community, one that really supports the local businesses.
You can go down to the local cafes for a coffee in the morning and run into all the regulars.
From there I meet new clients through recommendations. It’s always wonderful to meet someone new from the community.
I have a range of customers who come through the doors, from mums having their pamper time, students getting a hair touchup and business men and women. One of my long time regular clients is Place’s Meagan Muir. Meagan specialises in selling homes in Cannon Hill so we always love sharing her community stories from the My Place Our Place blog.
