Located on Bulimba’s Oxford Street, Nom Nom Natural Gelato is the sweet, creamy gelato you’re used to – but much, much better.
It’s all made by Swiss pastry chef, Thomas Devi, who not only specialises in pastries, but also cakes, chocolates and of course, gelato!
“In Switzerland when you learn to become a pastry chef you learn to make all types of desserts. Thomas has been a master of all things sweet for decades,” says Thomas’ wife, Gayatri Devi.
Who is the one responsible for creating the gelato? Well, you’ll have to visit Nom Nom and meet Thomas yourself.
We spoke with Gayatri about what makes Nom Nom so unique (and delicious) while Thomas worked hard in his kitchen inventing new flavours out of their secret recipes.
What do you love about working in Bulimba?
I fell in love with Oxford Street when I first saw it.
It’s got everything from dining, shopping and now gelato!
The locals in Bulimba are all so friendly and have been welcoming since we opened.
We’re trying to move closer to the area ourselves because it has the best atmosphere - there’s nowhere quite like it!
