In our local community we have so many interesting local businesses around us.

Instagram helps these businesses showcase what they have to offer through visually stunning photos. 

Supporting local businesses by following their Instagram page helps them gain exposure in the area.

We’ve gathered just a few locals that you should follow on Instagram.

@flowerlovers

If you love flowers than it’s obviously you should follow @flowerlovers. Based in the Rocklea Markets, Flower Lover’s offer flowers for all occasions from wedding bouquets to bunches for the kitchen table.

Their perfectly curated feed has brought in 15,000 followers. This isn’t an ordinary Instagram. Each photo is a piece of art, as beautiful flowers are held against a black backdrop and professionally captured. The background allows the colours to pop, bringing out the sheer beautiful of each petal/

Perhaps the most interesting new local business within the western suburbs is @17rocks. It’s a chocolate factory nestled in Seventeen Mile Rocks. This place is different to your average chocolate factory, the only practise ethical buying, sustainable manufacturing, use only natural ingredients and use zero single use plastics. 

As they’re just starting out, they’ve only got 300 followers so far however their feed is filled with all thing's chocolate. Let your knowledge grow as they inform you about the making of their products and let your mouth drool, they showcase the final result.

Who doesn’t love cute animal pictures? The Chelmer Graceville vets Instagram is cuteness overload as they capture moments whilst nursing animals back to health. Dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, birds, guinea pigs, possums and mice, they treat animals of all walks of life.

Chelmer Graceville Vets recount stories of each of their four-legged visitors and introduce you to their cutest patients including Cooper the Border Collie!

There’s nothing like a cute puppy photo to brighten your day.

Based in Indooroopilly, Vibrant Silks is a fashion label which donates any profits to charity. This non-for-profit business is the child of local Sondra Taylor. Vibrant Silks features original art designs printed onto silk, cotton and wool. All her profits go to local charities including Pink Ribbon, Mummy’s Wish, Share the Dignity, Africa Hearts and Zephyr Education.

Her Instagram account boasts over 9,000 followers. It’s no surprise how she attracted a such following, her feed is filled with bright pictures of her art and her environmental inspirations. 

You’ll be shocked to know the owner, Sondra, is in her 70’s yet her Instagram skills are fantastic.

@piggybackcafe

Located in Jindalee, Piggy Back Café is a gem within the Western suburbs. Their signature product is their rainbow coffee. They draw colourful pictures into the milk froth of the coffee. 

Piggy Back Café have a whopping 20,000 followers. Their Instagram feed is filled with picture perfect snaps of their food. If coffee isn’t your thing, perhaps you want to get your hands on one of their extravagant ‘super-shakes,’ a pineapple bowl or a classic eggs benedict.

This local business will leave you drooling. You’ll want it to be the weekend so you can pop out for a Sunday brunch here.
